Linda Boden ABR, CBR, RSPS
My name is Linda Krihak Boden and I was born and raised in Glens Falls and graduated G.F.H.S class of 1967. I received a B.A. from Hood College in Early Childhood Education and Psychology in 1971, and received an M.A. as a Reading Specialist from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1978. My husband, although not from the area, worked for two local companies; U.S.C.I and Namic. Our careers relocated us to three states; Virginia, where I taught elementary school, California, where I taught Junior High Math and ran a Reading Lab, and Massachusetts where I taught, but also became a realtor. I have always kept my hand in the schools i.e. directing plays and serving on the local school board, the sports fields i.e. president of the Boxford Athletic Association, directing the town beach, and coaching soccer and swimming, and community service i.e. Junior League of Boston, and Boy Scouts of America. I did this mainly for my children, Meredith and Ryan, who are now living in the Atlanta area with their spouses and our five grandchildren. My teaching career (12 years) and my career as a realtor (20 years) have given me the opportunity to meet many people from all kinds of backgrounds, and I find that aspect of my job to be immense FUN, extremely interesting, and no work at all. I have been a top producer consistently in my 20 years of experience as a realtor. Since we have returned to the Lake George area I have been able to combine my two passions; people and Lake George. Lake George is in my blood. My father was a lifeguard with Chuck Hawley at Hearthstone, and I walked my first steps on that beach. And I have spent every summer since then here with our immediate and extended family, enjoying the aesthetics and the amenities (golf, tennis, waterskiing, hiking, sailing, and sight-seeing) that the Lake George area provides. I belong to the Lake George Club, The Glens Falls Country Club, the Glens Falls Swim & Tennis Club and have been a very active member of The Hyde Museum. My family is very lucky to have relocated back to the area that we love so much in 1995, renovating a 1878 Victorian three camps down from the one we rented for years and a half mile from the camp our children attended when they were young. It was meant to be. This next chapter of my life finds me working around the corner from where I live, searching for the perfect property to fit the needs of my clients. This can take a short while or a little longer, but the FUN is in the search and eventually a perfect match. No one is ever sorry that they purchased a property on Lake George. It is all about the memories and the quality of life.
